This foundational, or first generation, pair has two biological offspring, that are constituting the second generation.

The relationships depicted between all the couples are marriages. The first generation has two biological children. The subsequent generation, or second generation, are each involved in partnered relationships, that are all characterized by marriage. The older sibling within this second generation has produced two biological children, while the younger sibling has one biological child.
