About this template
This template is a visual and easy-to-understand chart of how information is transmitted to a communication system from one point to another. First, the information source(like a microphone or a computer from where the data is generated) is set.
Next, the transition occurs from this data to a transmit signal by means of the Transmitter and the Channel becomes the means of transmission. The signal is understood by a Receiver, which decodes it into its source form, gets further processed at the Destination, and can be utilized.
How to use the template
Click on Use this template button.
Locate the libraries panel on the left side of the editor. Look for predefined shapes for input, output, and other communication control components. Add more shapes from the symbol library if needed.
Use the connector tool to link shapes. Double-click on shapes to add labels. Select arrow shapes from the symbol library. Drag and connect arrows between shapes to indicate data and control flow.
To use the diagram in presentations, export it as an image or PDF file. Click on the "File" menu, select "Export," and choose the desired file format (.pptx, .xlsx, .jpg, .pdf, .vsdx, etc.). Also, save the file to your computer.
Benefits of the template
The created template can be used in various scenarios and offers several benefits:
- This tool can be applied to educational assignments where it is possible to picture data flow inside the communication systems, and similarly, complex concepts get simplified for better understanding.
- It can be applied in instructive materials which in turn helps others to learn about communication systems better and more clearly.
- The diagram can be easily utilized in developing technical documents to illustrate communication system architectures.
- It is a facilitator in project planning. It permits a person to plot the communication system components and their interaction which in turn assists in the execution and planning of projects.
FAQs about the template
-
Any kind of system that carries the communication among point-to-point or more is known as a communication system. The information which can be in multiple formats like data, voice, video, or images is something that it can hold. The system of communication guarantees the fact the data flow is performed correctly and with the minimum loss from the source to the destination.

In this process, the information initiates its journey. Examples range from the data generated by computers, tools, microphones, cameras, sensors, etc.
Thus, this part of the waveform acquires the source information, translates it, and allows the transmission process to go on. The signal format relates to the transmission channel selected.
This is the type of broadcasting that delivers the message that the sender wants to be received by the receiver.
The sender now perfectly converts the signal by channel and changes it into its original state of the message. This is performed by mulling over all parts of the data which is affected and can be compromised during the communication.
This is the last cognitive process where the likely result is the product of the mentioned data.

Communication barriers can be defined as obstacles that one may face when attempting to effectively communicate with another person. These barriers can be anything that can misrepresent and/or avert someone during the communication process.
