About this template

With the many tools available to simplify project management, work breakdown structures are one of the best diagrams. These work breakdown structures (WBS) allow teams to pinpoint which subtasks make up a larger activity or task so they know when and where to focus.

These diagrams usually have three to four levels of hierarchy. The first level often depicts the project title, while the second level showcases the project’s main parts or “legs”. Then, the following levels are used to display the specific tasks to be done by the different teams during different activities.

In the example above, you can see how these levels are used. You have the project title on the first level, followed by the second level with the different activity titles. Then, it’s followed by the third level for the main tasks before being broken down into subtasks by the fourth level.

This work breakdown structure template adds a relevant information section in its upper portion as an additional perk. You can add data here, such as company name, project title, project manager, and date. Of course, you can always add more information as necessary.
