Motilal Nehru died in 1931, and Jawaharlal was in prison. He wasn't allowed to attend his father's last ceremony as he was in jail. After seven years of Motilal Nehru's death, Swarup Rani Nehru died.
Indira Priyadarshini's love for her grandmother was an absolute delight. They loved each other so much and spent a lot of time together.
Jawaharlal became the first Prime minister of India in 1947 and retained his position for almost 17 years. He had to go through a lot of hurdles during his tenure. A family conflict arose as well when Indira Showed his will to marry Feroze Ghandi. Jawaharlal wasn't convinced of her will and was against the marriage.
Feroze Ghandi was a Parsi, and his real name was Feroze Ghandy, which he changed to Ghandi by the influence of Mahatma Ghandi. That was the start of the Nehru Ghandi base, and this family now has the surname of Ghandhi.
Indira Gandhi served India as a prime minister twice. Her two tenures, 1966-1977 and 1989-1984, were quite successful. During her tenure, she faced Sikh conflict as well, and that specific conflict became the main cause of her death when a Sikh assassinated her.
Indira and Feroze had two sons, Rajiv Ghandi and Sanjay Ghandi. Feroze died in 1960 at the age of 48. Rajiv Gandhi took an interest in politics and became the Prime Minister of India later. He married Sonia Maino and gave birth to two children, Rahul Ghandi and Priyanka Ghandi, who are now the current leader of the Indian National Congress.
Rajiv Gandhi died when he was running a campaign in Sriperumbudur. He was approaching the dais and well greeted by the people over there. A lady approached him and touched his feet, who had a bomb under her dress. Fourteen people died in the bomb explosion, and 43 people were heavily injured. The assassin's name was Kalaivani Rajaratnam. The assassination was recorded by a cameraman named Haribabu. He was one of the people who died in that bomb explosion. The film was retrieved from his camera during the investigation.
On the other hand, Indira's second son, Sanjay Gandhi, married Maneka Anand. Sanjay was one of the main leaders of the party and retained special departments of the party. Although, he was not named for the prime minister seat. Sanjay and Maneka had one son, Varun Ghandi.
Priyanka Ghandi is married to Robert Vadra, and Rahul Ghandi's relationship status is not certain.
