About this family tree template

This editable Demon Slayer family tree helps fans trace the Kamado family and understand how major characters are connected across Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

At the center are Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, children of Tanjuro and Kie Kamado. Their younger siblings are Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, and Rokuta. Tanjiro and Nezuko are the surviving members of their immediate household after Muzan Kibutsuji's attack.

The template can also show mentors, allies, demons, and Hashira, but these links should be labeled separately from blood relationships. In particular, Yoriichi Tsugikuni is not Tanjiro's ancestor: Tanjiro's ancestor Sumiyoshi was Yoriichi's friend and preserved the Hinokami Kagura tradition.

FAQs about this template

  • Muzan Kibutsuji, the first demon, attacked and killed Tanjiro's family. Only Nezuko, his little sister, lived, but as a demon.

  • Muzan loathes Tanjiro for two reasons:

    • His Hanafuda earrings, a symbol tied to the legendary demon slayer Yoriichi, whom Muzan fears.
    • Tanjiro's burning desire to avenge his family and help Nezuko doesn't help.

  • Mitsuri Kanroji was mortally wounded in the final showdown with Muzan. While Muzan struck the fatal blow, her injuries ultimately took her life.

  • Nezuko's immunity to sunlight is a mystery. It's hinted that her unique blood and connection to Muzan might be the reasons.
