The Big Bang Theory is a concept that narrates how this universe has formed and changed its states throughout billions of years. The idea is clear when we have a timeline of all the stages with respect to time.
According to the theory, the Big Bang happened billions of years ago, and cosmic changes occurred that caused the formation of the universe, galaxies, solar systems, stars, and planets. Here is the Big Bang Theory timeline and all the stages over time.
There are different stages defined in the Big Bang theory that can help us understand how things changed after the Big Bang.
0 Second:
The universes begin with a singularity, and a big explosion happens, causing the temperature to get higher and higher to extreme levels. The theory explains that the blast occurred on its own.
Planck’s Era:
Right after the explosion, the gravitational forces are pulled apart, and quantum gravity dominates around the explosion area.
Inflation:
The inflation happened after a few seconds, and the universe started to expand quickly within milliseconds.
Temperatures Start Decreasing:
After the rapid expansion of the universe, temperatures start to go down, and inflation stops. This helps the creation of matter and antimatter.
Formation of Quarks:
The formation of Protons and Neutrons happens when quarks start to combine, causing more and more reactions. The nuclear reactions and forces started to act. The process fastens, and atomic reactions happen rapidly.
Formation of Gases:
The Helium, Hydrogen and a small amount of Lithium form at this stage, causing a lot more reactions. The oxygen levels were not present at this time. It is called nucleosynthesis.
Recombination Process:
The universes start to recombine to make intense, large stars and planets, even when the temperatures are high. This process helps the formation of Galaxies, and it starts on planets where life doesn't exist at that time.
Solar System Formation:
After 9 billion years, the solar system formed, and the existence of life was possible at this stage and time. The dark energy has been helping the universe expand till now.
There is usually a misconception about the Big Bang theory, which is that it is an explosion in space. But, in reality, it is the explosion of the space itself. It helps us reshape the concept of space, time and matter. There are other aspects or religious points of view that describe it; there is no such thing that could happen on its own, which might be true as well.
