About this network diagram for a smart light
The smart light system connects user devices, sensors, cloud services, and lighting hardware. It starts when the user interacts via a mobile phone or voice assistant. A voice command or manual request is captured by the smartphone. Then, it sends the control request to the cloud server.
The cloud server processes the command. It decides how the lighting devices should respond. Once done, the cloud sends the command to the local network via the router. The router passes the instructions to the network switch. Then, the switch distributes the signal to each smart light.
Sensors play a key role in this process. A motion sensor or smart sensor sends a detection signal when it detects movement. This signal goes to the network switch, which then forwards it to the cloud server. The cloud server updates the device status and decides if the lights should change. The new instruction is sent back to the switch and applied to the lights.
Manual controls from dedicated panels can send data to the system. These instructions follow the same network path. They travel from the switch to the cloud server and back to the lighting devices. The cloud server keeps everything synchronized. This ensures each device has the latest commands and status updates.
The system supports two-way communication. Each light reports its state to the cloud through the switch. This keeps the cloud server updated for remote monitoring. All parts work together to create automated lighting. Voice commands, motion detection, and manual inputs control the lighting. The system maintains communication for timely lighting actions.
